About The Position

Family ACCESS is seeking qualified, caring early childhood toddler teachers for its non-profit Early Learning Center. This role is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team of early childhood professionals. Family ACCESS is a community-based non-profit organization that empowers and strengthens families through integrated programs, including the Early Learning Center, Early Literacy Services, and Counseling and Consultation Services. For over 100 years, the organization has served thousands of families from Newton and neighboring towns, regardless of their economic status. The organization's name, ACCESS, stands for "A Center for Comprehensive Education and Support Services," reflecting its mission to open doors and provide rich journeys for children and families through education-based resources and programs. The position involves creating an educational environment and providing a nurturing, individualized approach to teaching toddlers.

Requirements

  • Be joyful, enthusiastic and engaging
  • MA EEC Infant/Toddler Teacher certification
  • Flexible team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to bend, stand, squat, stoop, walk, occasionally run, and lift up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Create an educational environment that is inquiry and play based, emergent, challenging and inviting
  • Provide a nurturing, individualized approach to teaching toddlers
  • Value diversity and be curious and respectful of differences between individuals, families, and cultures
  • Continue to learn and grow as a professional in the field of early childhood education
