Educator & Program Assistant (Part-Time)
About The Position
Join our Learning & Interpretation Team and help inspire visitors of all ages through hands-on experiences, tours, camps, story times, workshops, outreach programs, and family events. This role involves leading engaging educational programs onsite and throughout the community, sharing a love of plants through tours, activities, and learning stations, and creating memorable experiences for kids, families, and lifelong learners. The position also includes helping to care for educational plant collections and preparing program materials, while working alongside an amazing team and enthusiastic volunteers.
Requirements
- Working toward or have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education, museum studies, natural sciences, or a related field
- At least one year of education or museum experience (internships count!)
- Loves teaching and connecting with people
- Has a passion for plants, nature, or environmental education
- Enjoys public speaking and hands-on learning
- Is energetic, reliable, organized, and ready to jump in wherever needed
