About The Position

Participates in the educational process that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of orientation and continuing professional development for the hospital staff as well as patient/community health teaching.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• BSN degree required.
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
• AHA CPR BLS required.
• Computer experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Masters concentration in nursing education preferred.
• Professional nursing certification preferred.
• Certification as Nursing Professional Development Specialist preferred.
• Instructor status for CPR BLS preferred.
• ACLS and/or PALS instructor preferred.
• Preferred experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, internet search functions, multimedia presentation applications, document design applications and learning management systems.
