About The Position

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for Educational Technology Coach who is responsible for supporting the professional growth and development of instructional staff to facilitate learning and independent application of effective technology practices. This position provides support for staff through planning, modeling, co-teaching, training, and data analysis across all areas and plans and conducts professional development based on assessed staff needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, technology or related field, Masters preferred.
  • Current, Oklahoma teaching certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an instructor or instructional technology experience required (Above requirements may be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Knowledge and experience in educational technology methods, pedagogy, andragogy and instructional design and development.
  • Skilled in operating instructional technology, including learning management systems, educational related software and online grade books.
  • Analytical and reasoning ability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance

Responsibilities

  • Regularly evaluates and reflects on professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences.
  • Coordinates with school and technical support staff for successful deployment of new technologies to include troubleshooting basic software, hardware and connectivity problems common to digital learning environments.
  • Assists teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.
  • Collaborates with staff in regard to effective use of technology tools and resources to systematically collect and analyze pertinent data, interpret results and communicate findings to improve work practices
  • Introduces instructional staff to new technology integration methods, materials and strategies.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining an effective learning environment through collaboration and reflective practices
  • Plans, organizes and delivers technology training for faculty through collaboration with teachers, administrators and technology personnel on the development and implementation of district-wide training strategies for new and existing educational technologies.
  • Performs front-end analyses including needs assessment, task analysis, content analysis, learner characteristic assessment, environmental review, and instructional analysis.
  • Designs and publishes training materials such as manuals and tutorials, both web-based and for live trainings.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of technology plans and District technology policies and procedures.
  • Provides ongoing support for instructional technology initiatives by way of site visits, electronic and virtual means.
  • Serves as liaison for instructional training-related and technology-related committees.
  • Participates in professional development (in person and online, including social media and Professional Learning Networks) to remain knowledgeable of the latest trends, studies and research in the field of educational technology.
  • Maintains necessary certifications (technology and education).
  • Maintains contact with site leadership to ensure sites are all receiving sufficient technology training on software and hardware in their buildings.
  • Promotes the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities of other members of the Department during peak periods or when there is an influx of duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
