About The Position
The Educational Support Counselor provides counseling services, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support to at-risk students and their families. This role collaborates with school staff, administration, and external agencies to develop effective intervention strategies and foster student success in academics, attendance, and personal well-being.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- LCSW required

Responsibilities
- Performing psychosocial assessments and respond immediately to student crisis situations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Delivering individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs and monitor progress toward social-emotional goals.
- Working with parents, teachers, and community mental health professionals to coordinate care and link families with external resources.
- Maintaining accurate case files, progress reports, activity logs, and administrative documentation.
- Attending IEPs, team meetings, and parent conferences to present evaluation findings and recommend support strategies.
