This role is responsible for overseeing the training and development of staff within a specific department or area. This role typically manages daily training schedules, delivers training modules, assesses competency, and ensures compliance with hospital policies. This position does not require Patient Care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Experience in training, education, or professional development 2-3 years required
  • Strong understanding of relevant medical procedures, patient care practices, and healthcare regulations within the assigned department.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively present information, engage trainees, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
  • Ability to guide and motivate trainees, providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and build strong relationships with staff at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory role 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creating and conducting training courses for new hires and existing staff on clinical procedures, safety protocols, equipment usage, and hospital policies.
  • Coordinating training sessions, assigning trainers, and ensuring adequate coverage for different shifts.
  • Evaluating staff performance during training and through practical assessments to verify competency levels.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of employee training completion, including dates, scores, and any required re-training.
  • Collaborating with department managers to identify areas where staff require additional training or skill development.
  • Ensuring all training programs adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and hospital standards.
  • Providing initial training for new hires to familiarize them with the hospital environment and job expectations.
