This position delivers high-quality, in-person interpretation that ensures seamless communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, their peers, and school staff. Leverage expertise in Deaf culture and education to actively promote student independence, social integration, and academic confidence. Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, teachers, and families to align interpreting services with the student’s personalized learning goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited Interpreter Training Program (ITP)
Valid Pennsylvania Sign Language Interpreter Registration
Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 (required) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
Strong background in Deaf Education and experience working in a K-12 school setting
