About The Position

We are seeking qualified and experienced Interpreters to support a Schools in St. Johns County, Florida. Interpreters will provide on-site services on an as-needed basis to facilitate communication between English-speaking staff and non-English-speaking students, parents, and community members. Languages sought include Spanish, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, and other languages are encouraged and welcomed.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and at least one target language
• Proven experience in interpretation (community, educational, medical, or legal preferred) 2+years
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to maintain neutrality, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Reliable and flexible availability

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete interpretation between English and the target language
• Support communication in educational settings such as meetings, conferences, and school events
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information in accordance with applicable privacy regulations
• Demonstrate cultural competency and professionalism at all times
• Adapt to various service delivery modes (in-person, phone, video)
• Arrive on time and be responsive to scheduling needs
