About The Position

Curriculum Associates is seeking a part-time Professional Learning Educational Consultant with a background in teaching, coaching teachers, delivering professional development and support, analyzing data, and working with school leaders. This role involves facilitating high-quality professional development, training, support, data analysis, and communicating consultatively with school teachers and leaders. The position is per diem, meaning consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis and paid hourly. The schedule is highly dependent on customer demand and is seasonal, with peak times from August through October and January through February. Candidates should not maintain a full-time role during school hours simultaneously with this position. The role requires considerable travel, up to 90%, including overnight stays and transportation via car, plane, or public transportation. A valid driver's license is required. This position is based in Gainesville, GA, and candidates must live within 20 miles of the city or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 2+ years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development
• Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards, Grades K–8 (or comparable state standards), including both the content standards and the practice standards
• Fluency with using digital tools including online assessments
• High level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders
• Understanding of principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional development
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills: ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
• Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent computer and internet skills including knowledge of Office programs (Outlook, Word, PPT, etc.)
• Knowledge of online meeting programs (e.g. Zoom/WebEx)
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort
• Must live within 20 miles of the posting city
• Must have own transportation
• Valid driver's license required
