About The Position
The Hermiston School District is seeking applicants for the Educational Assistant position at Sunset Elementary School. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the assigned teacher to assist students within the various classrooms. Classrooms may include ELL, Kindergarten, Special Education, and/or Title I Reading. Position begins August 2026.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet NCLB educational requirements by possessing a minimum of an Associate's Degree or 72 college credit hours.
- Passage of the ParaPro Assessment or the Work Keys Assessment test serves as an alternative to the educational requirement.
- Demonstrated standards of moral character and behavior as required of teachers (e.g. to serve as an effective role model).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with students.
