About The Position
Become an Educational Assistant at O'Gorman High School for the 2026-2027 school year and make a difference everyday! You’ll play a pivotal role in empowering students to reach their full potential. In this role you will be serving one:one. Our ‘Mission’ desires “to form a community of faith and learning by promoting a Catholic way of life through Gospel values and academic excellence.” We are seeking an individual who will exhibit the ‘Core Values’ of Bishop O†Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity and create an environment of trust. Hours: 7:45am-3:45 pm Assist student attending O'Gorman High School
Requirements
- Exhibit the core values of Bishop O † Gorman Catholic Schools: Faith, Unity, Excellence, and Integrity
- High school education or equivalent
- Works well with children
- Knowledge and comfort level verbal and math skills up through middle school
- Basic competency in computer skills
- Resourceful & creative to proved adaptations for students
- Self-starter
- High energy
- Ability to adjust to daily changes in task schedule
- Adapts well to a variety of tasks
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and decision making ability
- Team player
Nice To Haves
- Some post high training in education preferred
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission of Bishop O† Gorman Catholic Schools
- Follow student to each class and mass
- Tutor/support student in all academic areas
- Administer make-up tests
- Monitor student progress and keep records
- Confer with supervising teachers
- Perform various duties as assigned
