About The Position

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is seeking an Educational Assistant for Special Education at Grants Pass High School. This position works 7 hours per day for a 182-day school year. Requirements

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
Two years of college study OR an associate’s or higher degree OR a passing score on the District reading, writing, and math assessment.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of and experience with computers.
Knowledge of business English, spelling and mathematics.
Some knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Ability to type at a working rate speed.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and get along well with students.
Willingness to pay a $12.50 fingerprinting fee and a $75 ODE fingerprinting processing fee upon selection.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist students in a special education setting.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Work cooperatively with fellow employees and students.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

$17.57-$25.38 per hour, dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).

$4,080.60 insurance opt-out stipend for 4–6-hour employees.
6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600).
