Under the supervision of the special education teacher, this role provides assistance to students with special education needs. The position requires participation in training, ensuring student safety, implementing behavior plans, preparing materials, assisting with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing tutoring, and supporting student transitions. The Educational Assistant will also review assignments, administer tests, oversee classroom activities in the absence of an instructor, and accompany students as needed. Responsibilities include implementing behavioral management plans, developing and instructing daily living skills, responding to student and parent inquiries, designing instructional materials, and performing clerical tasks. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment and operating office equipment.
