About The Position

This position is under the direct supervision of the South Connection Program Manager. The program operates 7AM – 6PM Monday through Friday except for designated closings. The position is to staff the South Connection Enrichment Program in Oakwood, a consultation and education project. The project provides an enrichment program for elementary school-aged children.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a background check, motor vehicle check and drug test.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
• Must earn and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Specialist: Must be at least 18 years old and have a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and valuate activities.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise students being transported to and from schools.
• Prepare and serve, breakfast, lunch and snack daily and perform necessary clean up.
• Drive student in Oakwood vans for fieldtrips.
• Encourage appropriate use of and storage of equipment/supplies.
• Check and secure building before closing.
• Assist children with toileting issues and other special needs that may arise.
• Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
