About The Position
Sentara Simulation Center in Chesapeake, VA, is currently hiring an Education Specialist. This role performs a variety of computer and education project development/management tasks to meet the needs of the educational services to the facility. The Education Specialist is responsible for classroom and clinical instruction of students, including developing and providing classroom and clinical learning experiences; teaching, coaching and mentoring on the clinical unit; tutoring and practicing with students; and evaluating student performance. The Education Specialist also may collaborate with accredited educational institutions to coordinate the placement of students within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years related work experience
Responsibilities
- Developing and providing classroom and clinical learning experiences
- Teaching, coaching and mentoring on the clinical unit
- Tutoring of and practicing with students
- Evaluating student performance
- Collaborating with accredited educational institutions to coordinate the placement of students within the organization
