About The Position

Tanaq Support Services (TSS) is seeking an Education Specialist III to provide support to their federal client. This is a hybrid remote role based in Atlanta, GA. The role involves developing and maintaining educational resources, creating learning paths, assessing training needs, and assisting with the development of communications and educational materials for various platforms. The specialist will also provide consultation, research digital training tools, ensure adherence to CDC communication policies, and coordinate with various stakeholders. The position requires a Master's degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in health education and promotion.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at in a public health setting preferred.
  • Ph.D. in Health Education, Health Promotion, or closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain new and existing educational resources serving wide-ranging health professions across the continuum of learning.
  • Work collaboratively across team to create meaningful and accessible learning paths that blend diverse educational strategies to meet program and learner aims.
  • Assess training needs and resource requirements across diverse health and public health settings and provide constructive feedback on educational resources designed by partner audiences.
  • Assist with the development of Project Firstline communications and educational materials for various platforms, including, but not limited to, factsheets, web content, videos, social media, infographics, podcasts, Adobe Campaign messages, newsletters, blogs, or commentaries. Content should employ plain language and be built upon formative research available.
  • Contribute to timelines, planning, and project management of various communications and education activities.
  • Provides consultation and technical assistance on program, partnerships, and strategy implementation to internal and external groups.
  • Research and recommend the innovative use of digital training tools. Continually learn about new channels, new outreach methods, audience trends, and make recommendations to the team lead.
  • Ensure that all communications materials, including educational resources, follow best practices for health education, risk communication, and plain language by following the CDC communications policies and formats.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, as well as education and communications professionals from across the branch and Division, other Divisions and Centers, and external partners to share information and ensure effective efforts and successful collaboration.
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve problems or issues; participate in team strategy sessions to discuss solutions.
