This position oversees Long Term Group Home’s Education Department, consisting of three Education Assistants and two Skills Trainers. The Education Services Supervisor is responsible for the development and coordination of academic programing and ensuring the completion and documentation of state and ORR assessment standards and state licensing requirements. This involves regular review and analysis of ORR policy, coordination with a multidisciplinary team of program staff, and communication with stakeholders as necessary to introduce new and improved opportunities for client services related to education and independent living skills. The position also serves as teacher providing the Flores required education services and supporting the program’s behavioral model. The Education Services Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between the LTGH program, school district staff, and community partners who collaborate to provide linguistically and developmentally appropriate educational services to the youth in care. Staff supervision includes demonstrating Sanctuary Model commitments, and direct client engagement ensures the Education Services Supervisor is active in upholding LTGH’s behavior management systems.
