About The Position

This job is responsible for the coordination and support of a variety of projects and special event activities for clinical staff or medical education programs in the Division of Academics. Collaborates with clinical staff, physicians, leaders, and team members across the Ochsner organization. Participates in operational and functional support activities of the department. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong data entry skills and proficient in the operation of general office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, promote a cooperative and pleasant work environment and elicit cooperation of other department members in achievement of goals.
  • Excellent time management and team player skills.
  • Organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities as well as some outside travel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of planning, logistics, documentation, and implementation of projects and events.
  • Coordinator for data gathering, research and analysis particularly as it relates to special projects, assignments, reimbursement, invoicing and events.
  • Maintain schedule and calendar for educational and department operational events, projects, classes, and classrooms.
  • Provides meeting scheduling, travel arrangement, and expense reimbursement support for education program directors, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Participates in data gathering and analysis, particularly as it relates to reimbursement.
  • Ensures compliance with the institutional guidelines of programmatic accreditation council.
  • Participates in operational and functional support activities of the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
