About The Position

Friendship Public Charter School (FPCS) is seeking an Education Pioneers Fellow to develop and implement an end-to-end onboarding model for new hires, focusing on teachers, Instructional Aides (IAs), and Instructional Staff Team Leaders (ISTL). This role involves designing training materials, analyzing onboarding practices, and creating tools for managers and campuses to ensure a smooth and effective integration of new employees. The goal is to enhance the onboarding experience from pre-boarding through the first 90 days, aligning it with the overall employee lifecycle and contributing to staff retention and success within the Friendship system.

Requirements

Master's degree required.
Knowledge and experience planning and implementing professional development.
5 years of experience in a traditional school setting as a leader or teacher.

Responsibilities

Develop an end-to-end onboarding model (pre-boarding through first 90 days) for teachers, IAs, and ISTLs.
Design training materials, including slide decks and session plans covering mission, culture, expectations, and systems.
Create a new hire onboarding sequence and agenda.
Audit current onboarding practices across campuses and departments.
Partner with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to align onboarding with the full employee lifecycle.
Identify key gaps in onboarding using data such as retention trends, early attrition, and staff feedback.
Develop 30-60-90 day plan templates by role type (instructional, operational, leadership).
Create examples of campus-based onboarding and belonging plans.
Develop a manager onboarding toolkit, including checklists, conversation guides, and expectation setting.
Implement onboarding trackers and progress monitoring tools.
Establish feedback loops through surveys, check-ins, and onboarding experience data collection.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
