About The Position

The Nurse Educator is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for designing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that support professional growth, skill development, and clinical competency. This role applies adult learning principles to enhance staff performance and patient care outcomes. This is a non-union position that is 8 hours daily and 40 hours weekly, with occasional weekend requirements.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
• MSN Required
• BLS & ACLS certification required
• Three years of nursing experience required.

Nice To Haves

• BLS AHA Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
• ACLS AHA Instructor certification within 6 months of hire
• Certification in specific area of nursing preferred
• One year of clinical education experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Designing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that support professional growth, skill development, and clinical competency.
• Applying adult learning principles to enhance staff performance and patient care outcomes.
• Assisting with patient lifting and transportation as needed.
• Responding effectively in emergency and high-stress situations.
• Adhering to safety protocols in environments with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and other hazards.
• Performing all other tasks as assigned.
