The Education/Disabilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of high-quality educational services and disability supports in alignment with Early Head Start (EHS) program standards, the Head Start Performance Standards (HSPPS), and agency policies. This position plays a key role in supporting the developmental, social, and educational growth of infants and toddlers by overseeing curriculum implementation, supporting teaching staff, and coordinating services for children with suspected or identified disabilities. The coordinator provides ongoing coaching, technical assistance, and professional development to teaching and home-based staff to ensure the use of developmentally appropriate practices and individualized learning strategies. Additionally, this role collaborates with families, early intervention (EI) providers, and community partners to facilitate timely referrals, evaluations, and the implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). The Education/Disabilities Coordinator ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while promoting inclusive learning environments that meet the unique needs of every child and family.
