Education Consultant 3-CCR
About The Position
At the Louisiana Department of Education, specifically within the Office of Career and College Readiness, our mission is to create, promote, and manage opportunities that ensure students in Louisiana have a meaningful high school experience. We are seeking an Education Consultant 3 to manage programs aimed at helping students improve their academic performance and explore career options, enabling them to make informed decisions about their paths after graduation. The ability to build and maintain relationships with secondary and postsecondary partners, strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and experience in K-12 and/or postsecondary education are critical to this position. In addition, knowledge of and experience with student planning environments and innovative career and technical education programming are preferred. Candidates with the following skills, abilities, and experience are encouraged to apply: Experience at the high school and/or postsecondary level with complex federal grant writing, implementation, and/or evaluation.
Requirements
- Seven years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience plus four years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree plus three years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services.
- Experience at the high school and/or postsecondary level with complex federal grant writing, implementation, and/or evaluation.

Responsibilities
- Manage federal grant approval processes.
- Provide technical assistance to school systems for federal grant programming.
- Provide constructive feedback to school systems on all required components when applying for federal grant programming.
