Families Forward, a member of The Fedcap Group, is looking for a mission-driven individual to join our team as an Education and Training Instructor! This person will provide training and instruction to people from all walks of life who are looking to overcome barriers to meet their employment-focused goals and become “Job Ready”. Also known as a Work Readiness Instructor, this role is an integral component of the workforce development model at our Calais opportunity center. The instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality Power of Possible (POP) and Life Skills workshops that actively engage participants and prepare them for work, training, and long-term career success. This role builds the skills, behaviors, and accountability required for participants to progress into Work Experience (WEP), Community Service (CS), Short-Term Occupational Training (STOT), and employment. Using a structured, proactive, and outcome-driven approach, the Instructor delivers curriculum aligned with progressive learning stages, moving participants from foundational understanding to practical application and independent use of skills. The instructor leads engaging, high-energy sessions, sets clear expectations, and actively involves all participants by fostering an environment that encourages participation, ownership and consistent engagement. Dynamic, confident, and action-oriented, the Instructor maintains high standards of delivery, holds participants accountable, and creates an environment where engagement, effort, and measurable progress are expected and achieved.
