About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Education and Outreach Specialist to join their collaborative, multidisciplinary One Community team in the Southern Region of the Trillium service area. This role is designed to increase access to care, health literacy, health awareness, and education. The Education and Outreach Specialist serves as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the southern Trillium counties on the East coast of North Carolina. This position requires flexibility to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in Brunswick County. The role involves traveling to Craven, Jones, Carteret, Sampson, Duplin, Onslow, Pender, New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, Hoke, and Scotland counties.

Requirements

• Reside in Brunswick County.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
• Working relationships with community referrals.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities
