About The Position

This role leads enterprise credentialing, education pathways, and workforce readiness programs across M.C. Dean. The Education Manager ensures employees have the credentials, licenses, and academic qualifications required for business execution, contract compliance, and career advancement, and that the systems, partnerships, and processes are in place to get them there.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, workforce development, credentialing, continuing education, or related program management. 13+ with a high school diploma / GED.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external education partnerships, credentialing or licensing programs, or workforce-readiness initiatives.
  • Experience designing or operationalizing credential pathways, reimbursement processes, academic programs, or equivalent workforce development systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a technical, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or defense-services environment.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting environments and credential requirements embedded in contracts or compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting degree pathways, tuition assistance, PLA programs, or credential-equivalency/waiver frameworks.
  • Familiarity with credit-bearing partnerships, continuing education, credentialing bodies, and translating business requirements into education and credentialing pathways.
  • Strong partnership skills with Talent/HR, Operations, and business leaders.
  • Strong program management discipline; ability to manage a complex, high-volume portfolio across a dispersed workforce.
  • Analytical fluency with dashboards, credentialing data, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate, current view of credentialing and licensing status by role, region, division, and contract requirement.
  • Identify compliance gaps before they become project risks and drive remediation plans.
  • Build and manage pathways for high-priority credentials; including electrical licensing, NETA, BICSI, CompTIA, CISSP, etc...
  • Serve as M.C. Dean’s point of accountability for external academic and learning partners.
  • Establish partner selection criteria, support articulation and credit-transfer agreements, and oversee tuition assistance and PLA processes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to confirm programs are delivering workforce-ready outcomes.
  • Work with Talent, HR, Content, and Field/Operations to connect credentials and degrees to the career framework, promotion criteria, readiness indicators, and succession planning.
  • Design stackable micro-credentials that map to certificate and degree programs and translate into tangible career movement for employees.
  • Maintain credentialing policies covering reimbursement, renewals, role-based requirements, exam scheduling, and documentation.
  • Keep the enterprise course catalog current; curated, tagged, and mapped to competencies and career pathways.
  • Coordinate across HR, Legal, and Operations to keep policy enforceable and current.
  • Build and maintain dashboards giving leadership visibility into credential status, exam pass rates, upcoming expirations, and program ROI.
  • Translate complex credentialing and degree requirements into clear, actionable guidance for employees and managers.
