The operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that they may be required to run. In addition, operators are required to load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing. The role involves the operation of traditional oil/or deep tank/or multi-axis cnc electrical discharge machining (EDM) aka Sinker EDM. The operator will set-up and operate machines, load/unload parts, and communicate changes and results while adhering to a strict time schedule. This role requires the ability to read prints, inspect parts using precision gages, and verify conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications using precision measuring tools and equipment. The operator will maintain specifications, take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen and replace worn tools, and adhere to quality assurance procedures. Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, maintaining equipment by adhering to maintenance requirements, and maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions are also key responsibilities. The role requires updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. Exceptional time management and organization skills are necessary, as is the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. The role also involves lifting 35 pounds regularly and performing other duties as needed to drive the company's vision and mission.
