The Hill is seeking an Editorial Intern for Spring 2027 in Washington, DC. The internship provides intensive exposure to national politics and Congress in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Interns primarily write and report, and their work may appear on The Hill’s website and in print. Interns also assist reporters, receive assignments that may take them to the Capitol and the halls of Congress, perform some clerical duties, help with events hosted by The Hill, and assist reporters with projects. The internship is part-time. Interns are responsible for their own lodging and travel, and The Hill does not compensate outside expenses connected with the internship. In-town travel expenses for work assignments are covered. Applications are due November 15. Applicants are asked to provide the semester, beginning and ending dates, days and hours of availability, a resume, a cover letter, and information about any academic programs in Washington they are participating in.
