This internship opportunity is not open to recent graduates. If you’re looking to gain hands-on experience at a leading publisher where creativity, collaboration, and storytelling come to life, ABRAMS may be the perfect place to start your career journey. As the first U.S. publisher dedicated to art and illustrated books—and an industry leader in visual and narrative publishing—ABRAMS is seeking a Children's Editorial Intern to join our Children's Editorial team as part of our Fall Internship Program commencing on September 15, 2026. Over the course of this immersive, unpaid program (offered for academic credit only), interns will gain meaningful insight into the world of book publishing while contributing to real projects that drive our business forward. You’ll learn alongside experienced professionals, develop practical skills in your area of interest, and participate in opportunities designed to broaden your understanding of the publishing industry. Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of publishing talent while fostering a passion for books, art, and culture. Interns will work closely with the Editorial, Managing Editorial, and Design groups, and will receive a full apprenticeship within the Kids team, assisting with titles across a variety of genres, formats, and age levels (board books through YA). Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited academic institution. This internship is not open to recent graduates.
