About The Position

Babylist is looking for an experienced Branded Content Editor who owns sponsored email from start to finish and leads how our team uses AI to build and scale that work. This is a writing and editing role first and foremost, one that requires equal parts creativity and love of process. You're writing and designing on one hand, managing deadlines and multiple projects on the other. The role requires strong communication skills, particularly via Slack, for team connection, problem-solving, and sharing wins.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writer and editor with a sharp brand voice. Writes fast and accurately, and can adapt a message to meet client and user needs without losing Babylist's tone.
  • Fluent in AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for research, outlining, data collection, automations, and more to improve the team's production workflows.
  • Proficient in Figma, comfortable building and QA'ing email.
  • Data-driven, reads performance data and knows how to act on it.
  • Systems-oriented, spots bottlenecks and builds solutions.
  • Natural relationship builder, treats cross-functional partnerships as essential to getting the best work done.
  • Clear communicator, knows when to flag an issue, when to push back, and when to let it go.
  • Handles client and legal revisions efficiently and protects the user experience.
  • 4+ years writing and editing branded content, or at a digital publisher or media company.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, build in Figma, and QA branded email before it ships.
  • Set and document the standards for branded email: voice, quality, and production process.
  • Develop AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual production time across the team.
  • Coach the team on how to use AI tools you discover and develop so everyone levels up.
  • Pull and analyze email performance data; use what you learn to adjust copy and hit benchmarks. Report monthly.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and hit deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Flex into other branded content as priorities shift: articles, newsletter placements, feed copy.
