About The Position

The Editor, Basketball is part of Fanatics Collectibles’ Editorial team, which manages the end-to-end editorial process for assigned projects. The role works closely with brand, design, and operations teams to create compelling and innovative trading card products. Responsibilities span editorial content and image selection, production operations, and collaboration on product development.

Requirements

Recognize player and talent likenesses, past and present.
Understand licensor style guides, colors, logos, and markings.
Have basic knowledge of graphic design, photographic principles, and print production.
Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines on multiple projects.
Be organized and attentive to detail.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of basketball.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

Develop text- and statistics-based card-back content for collectible trading card products.
Select, assign, and crop high-quality, design-appropriate photographic images for retouching and production.
Build and manage subject lists in partnership with the brand team.
Review proofs for accuracy and integrity.
Manage internal and external content providers.
Work with external photo-retouching and prepress vendors through production, correction, and imposition cycles.
Create and maintain prepress budgets.
Use and master the Card Factory and TPIA content management platforms.
Partner with the project management team to create and execute prepress schedules.
Collaborate with brand and design teams to help develop themes and looks for assigned projects.
Participate in product review and brainstorming sessions for upcoming production cycles.
