About The Position

Electronic Data Interchange Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining seamless digital communication between Labcorp and its partners—ensuring accurate data flow, compliant systems, and exceptional support for both clients and vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with EDI involving Labcorp clients or vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1 or more years of experience managing multiple project timelines with external customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology
  • 1 or more years of experience working with EMR vendors.
  • 1 year of experience in laboratory system implementation.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with LCLS (Labcorp Laboratory Systems).
  • 2 or more years of experience working with SIS (Specimen Integrity System).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a coordinator between Labcorp Sales and clients for various Health IT products, including EMRs, systems, patient portals, and Labcorp client applications.
  • Act as a liaison between Corporate IT and third‑party vendors, developing new workflows tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Support the onboarding of hospital HIS systems and provide both pre‑ and post‑go‑live assistance.
  • Manage the mapping, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of EDI transactions (including HL7, FHIR and API) to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange.
  • Lead and manage multiple projects from implementation through completion, meeting all corporate deadlines and project milestones.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to support long‑term partnership and business retention.
  • Assist clients and vendors in troubleshooting issues of varying complexity, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and consistent follow‑up to both clients and vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Lab Operations, and third‑party vendors—to resolve client issues promptly.
  • Analyze client ordering patterns to identify potential issues early and improve electronic ordering and resulting workflows.
  • Communicate with clients and vendors via phone and email to provide support, updates, and issue resolutions.
