About The Position

The EDI Administrator will assist in all aspects of lifecycle management of data integration products/services (from onboarding to production, and through to retirement), leveraging data to understand transmission behavior, identify integration opportunities, and measure the success of electronic data interchange initiatives.

Requirements

  • Manages and develops all aspects of an EDI product or service to ensure it achieves its full impact and value in the market.
  • Oversees and manages all stages of an EDI connection’s lifecycle, from initial partner ideation to retirement, ensuring efficient processes, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Plans, organizes, prioritizes, and oversees B2B integration activities to efficiently meet objectives.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills for internal and external customers. Acts as the "face of the company" for information exchange and stakeholders, communicating and articulating potential resolutions or strategies in a clear, compelling, and tailored manner.
  • Analyzes and researches B2B integration conditions and facts in order to develop a full and comprehensive understanding of the market to enable it to be utilized for the benefit of the organization.
  • Determines and analyzes trends from data that is collected (utilizing SQL queries where applicable) to assist in compiling compliance reports that will help in corporate decision-making.
  • Identifies potential stakeholders (vendors, partners, internal business units), analyzes their expectations, and develops strategies for managing expectations.
  • Reviews and evaluates EDI recommendations and requirements to develop appropriate data transformation plans or deliver actions required.
  • Identifies, sequences, and resources project schedules for timely B2B partner onboarding.
  • Plans, identifies, monitors, analyzes, and prioritizes data transmission risks (threats and opportunities), creates response plans, and manages the risk if data drops occur.
  • Identifies, verifies, and manages changes to the scope of the integration project or program, utilizing the most appropriate approach.
  • Identifies appropriate measures for assessing solution performance and mapping limitations, validates with key stakeholders, and collects performance measures (e.g., EDI turnaround time, error rates) to recommend specific actions to increase solution value.
  • Identifies, tracks, and enables the achievement of the planned benefits and intended outcomes of an EDI program and associated integration projects.
  • Develops an effective change strategy based on gap analyses and enterprise readiness assessment results, including transition states, trading partner testing windows, and release plans.
  • Experienced practitioner able to deal with the majority of situations (specifically within Cleo tools and ANSI X12 standards) and to advise others (3 to 6 years)
  • Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all EDI processes and coordination across the organization.
  • Monitor all aspects of the data integration lifecycle, including long- and short-term development and data flow mapping.
  • Define and deliver EDI products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems, specifically utilizing the Cleo Integration Cloud (CIC) ecosystem.
  • Deliver defined features, functionality, or outcomes from a designated part of the engineering program, selecting the best available approach within Cleo Clarify and Cleo EEI.
  • Research data from digital product/service performance, transmission logs, customer behavior, and integration trends to identify opportunities for EDI process improvement.
  • Explore EDI translation issues or connection needs, establishing potential root causes and barriers, as well as related data-mapping issues.
  • Execute the development plan for new EDI customer/vendor onboarding, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating clearly to project stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to EDI transaction usage, transmission behavior, and B2B trends; utilize basic to intermediate SQL to query databases, identify trends, and uncover technical pain points or opportunities for data optimization.
  • Edit document mapping specifications in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare technical documentation for publication.
  • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific electronic data exchange goals.
  • Review the backlog of integration work for a small project and reprioritize the work and deployment of project resources to reduce transmission costs and increase the value of the data delivered to the business.
  • Provide advice, training, and assistance to internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex EDI queries, ensuring the product and service capabilities are well understood and implemented in the context of the business.
  • Demonstrate the most valuable features/attributes of the EDI platform; lead a team of integration specialists to bring the highest value to customers during demonstrations.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities, formal training, and coaching; maintain an acute understanding of ANSI X12 EDI standards, external data compliance regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
