About The Position

This student role will be working at Export Development Canada (EDC) in environmental, social and governance (ESG). At EDC we believe that good ESG practices are key to the long-term growth and success of our customers and Canada’s prosperity. Strong ESG practices mitigate risks, open doors to new opportunities, drive innovation, attract top talent and strengthen the social and economic fabric of our communities. Our 2030 strategy places environmental, social and governance at the center of our operations and culture. EDC is seeking a Junior Associate, Climate and Sustainable Finance to join the Sustainability Team, assisting with the continued operations of EDC’s sustainable finance functions and the development of EDC’s climate and sustainable finance strategy. As a Crown Corporation, EDC has an important role in supporting businesses and large projects that contribute to Canada’s economy and international projects around the globe. EDC made a net-zero commitment in 2021 and is a member of the Net-Zero Export Credit Agencies Alliance (NZECA). We face a pivotal time of supporting industries and sectors of the future to increase Canada’s economic and climate resiliency while also balancing environmental impacts.
