About The Position

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. The Engineering Services team supports the tools and systems that enable hardware development and build operations. We are seeking an EDA & PLM Systems Engineer to serve as the technical lead for Siemens Xpedition and Siemens Teamcenter platforms supporting build operations in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will own system health, architecture, upgrades, and user engagement while partnering with engineering, IT/SRE teams, and software vendors to continuously improve critical engineering systems and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• 3 to 7 years of experience with EDA tools, PLM administration, engineering systems, or related environments
• Hands-on production experience with Siemens Xpedition (xDX Designer, xPCB Layout, EDM Library/Server) and Siemens Teamcenter
• Experience developing technical requirements, feature requests, UAT plans, and software deployment documentation
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts across engineering, IT, management, and external vendor teams

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Generative AI, LLMs, or AI assistants to improve engineering workflows, documentation, automation, testing, or scripting
• Python scripting experience for workflow automation, tool customization, or process improvement
• Experience with software governance, guiding organizational transitions, and enterprise application lifecycle management
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, MCAD/ECAD integrations, cloud infrastructure concepts, AWS environments, or IT/SRE operations
• Experience supporting semiconductor, hardware engineering, test engineering, or defense electronics environments

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, configuration, support, and lifecycle management of Siemens Teamcenter and Siemens Xpedition environments
• Plan and implement software upgrades in partnership with IT/SRE and vendor teams, including migration planning, validation testing, risk assessment, and rollback strategies.
• Define and prioritize system enhancements, develop feature requests, and coordinate delivery with IT and vendor teams
• Develop and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document results, and provide deployment recommendations
• Maintain system architecture documentation, operating procedures, and automation solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.
