This is a part-time position in the Emergency Department, requiring 24 hours per week. The role involves assisting healthcare professionals with hospital systems to access patient information, supporting communication for patient care, and coordinating tests and treatments between departments. The technician will maintain knowledge of departmental services, provide documentation, facilitate communications via multiple systems, and process daily patient charges. They will also collaborate with physicians, coordinate communications, and assist with technical patient care tasks such as phlebotomy, transporting patients, monitoring vital signs, wound care, Foley catheter insertion, and obtaining lab specimens. IV starts may be performed if state regulations allow. The role includes documenting information, communicating observations to the registered nurse, monitoring and troubleshooting office equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
