About The Position
Under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians, the ED Tech assists in providing patient care and maintaining the patient care environment in the Emergency Department. Emergency Department Technicians do not function as regulated or licensed professionals.
Requirements
- High school education or its equivalent.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- New hires must complete initial CPI training within 60 days, followed by annual de-escalation training provided by Inspira.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a certified EMT or nursing assistant, as a paramedic, or as an RN student who has completed the first year.
Responsibilities
- Assist with providing patient care under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians.
- Help maintain the patient care environment in the Emergency Department.
