Performs direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician in the Emergency Department within his/her scope of practice. Requirements
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
- SAFE class or organization approved workplace violence training or obtain within 6 months of hire which must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 6 month grace period
- Ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
- Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
- Strong priority-setting and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- EMT Basic certification
- recent Emergency Department Technician
- current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 in the State of Oregon
- completion of second term Nursing Curriculum
- paramedic experience (within the last two years)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Recent (within past two years) hospital experience
- Phlebotomy experience
