About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to participate in the basic nursing care of the patient from admission through discharge and to perform non-nursing functions in the ED. Non-nursing duties will include but not be limited to performing CNA duties, performing EKGs, keeping ED rooms clean and stocked, clerical duties, answering phones and relaying messages appropriately. This position is responsible to the Emergency Department nurses, physician and ED manager. Job requires use of computer, typing, reading and/or writing. Job requires frequent lifting, moving, standing, transferring patients/residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
• CNA, CMA, or EMT Certification Required
• Use of computer, typing, reading and/or writing
• Frequent lifting, moving, standing, transferring patients/residents

• ED Experience Preferred
