About The Position

The Patient Access Services (PAS) ED Registrar II is responsible for the coordination of registration, authorization, and information processing requirements associated with Emergency Department services. The ED Registrar II gathers appropriate demographic, clinical and financial information in a timely and accurate manner to ensure the patient’s smooth interaction with John Muir's various healthcare services.

Requirements

• Good spelling and grammar skills.
• Keyboard by touch.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer skills.
• Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances with compassion, patience and flexibility, sometimes under difficult circumstances.
• Able to work in as established time frame with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to gain experience in new software programs as needed.
• Microsoft Excel/Word skills.
• Possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
