About The Position

This position is for an Emergency Department (ED) Nurse working night shifts. The role requires direct patient care and adherence to specific licensing and certification standards. The night shift runs from 3 PM to 3 AM, and the nurse must be available to work various days of the week, including a minimum of every other weekend and holidays. On-call duties are also required, with two 24-hour call-ins expected within an 8-week period. The position emphasizes the use of technology in clinical care, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and excellent time management, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

  • BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
  • RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
  • PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course or ATCN - Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Cer or TNCC-P - Trauma Nurse Core Course - Provisional (18 Months) within 18 Months
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
  • Ability to read, write and speak English language.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Less than 1 year Experience with direct patient care

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
