About The Position

Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensure improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing or equivalent
  • 2 years recent ED experience
  • Alabama Board of Nursing License
  • BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • Recent acute care hospital and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred
  • ED Triage experience
  • ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date
  • PALS within 1 year of hire date (if required in work area)
  • TNCC within 90 days of hire/transfer
  • NIHSS w/in 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion)
