About The Position

The ECU Operator is responsible for running automated machinery to ensure that manufacturing procedures are carried out. This role involves making routine adjustments and setups of equipment, loading raw materials, monitoring machine operations, and inspecting completed parts to ensure they meet job specifications. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning machines, maintaining activity logs, and participating in continuous improvement efforts. This position supports the company's management and quality system, including environmental policies.

Requirements

1+ years of experience.
High School or Equivalent education.
Previous 2+ years of manufacturing assembly experience desired.
Ability to understand/communicate verbally in English, plus read/write basic (sixth grade English level) for safety and zero-quality defect purposes.
Ability to perform simple math computation.
Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with others.
Ability to learn, understand and adhere to all applicable safety precautions and procedures.

Responsibilities

Run automated machinery to ensure that manufacturing procedures are carried out.
Make routine adjustments/set ups of equipment for limited and readily definable and measurable variables such as length, temperature, or process speed.
Load raw material into the machine, completes minor changeovers, monitors machine operations, and inspects completed parts to ensure that job specifications are maintained.
Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
Maintain activity logs.
Participate in cross-training activities with other related positions.
Support and participate in the Company’s management and quality system including continuous improvement efforts.
Notify group leader or supervisor of any problems or non-conforming product.
Support and implement the Environmental policy as it pertains to work activities.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
