ECP LEAD TEACHER
About The Position
The Edenton St. UMC Early Childhood Program is seeking an exceptional Lead Teacher for our Infant Classroom beginning in late August 2026. This position offers the opportunity to join a strong and supportive Infant Team, working alongside three experienced Assistant Teachers. We are looking for a caring, collaborative educator with experience working with infants (or a similar age group) and previous classroom leadership experience. At ECP, we focus on helping children grow socially and emotionally through a nurturing, play-based environment. We are deeply committed to the principles of Conscious Discipline and believe that all behavior is a form of communication.
Requirements
- Experience working with infants (or a similar age group)
- Previous classroom leadership experience
Nice To Haves
- A degree in an education-related field
- Experience working in a preschool setting, preferably with infants
- Experience supervising or managing at least one Assistant Teacher
- Familiarity with Conscious Discipline principles
