About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Division Dean, the tenure track full time faculty member will provide instruction in accordance with course descriptions, outlines, class schedules, and Governing Board policies; evaluate progress of students concerning educational matters, develop and assess student learning outcomes, and perform other instructional related duties as assigned. Yuba College seeks a strong, well rounded economist who has demonstrated experience or potential to be an excellent teacher at a community college, and who can provide leadership or contribute positively in areas such as keeping course offerings up-to date and relevant, developing the economics curriculum, staying abreast with and communicating the current trends in college economics reforms, articulating with area high schools, and maintaining relations with area colleges and universities.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in economics
• Bachelor’s in economics AND Master’s in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science
• The equivalent
• California Community College life credential in the subject matter area of economics
