About The Position

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. This role leads training, quality assurance, and program integrity efforts that help ensure SNAP policies and federal regulations are consistently and accurately applied. Requirements

Six years of economic stability social services experience; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR A bachelor's degree plus three years of economic stability social services experience; OR An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus two years of economic stability social services experience.
Applicants must clearly describe their experience with specific Economic Stability, Medicaid programs, etc. and/or identify the section or unit in which they performed economic stability social services work (e.g., SNAP/Economic Stability, Child Care Assistance Program, Strategies to Empower People, Family Independence Temp Assistance, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) within their job duties. Failure to include this information may result in the application being deemed ineligible for further consideration.

Nice To Haves

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

Develops and administers standardized SNAP training for newly hired analysts and employees requiring additional development or remediation.
Coordinates with Hub Economic Stability leadership, Regional Administrators, Area Directors, Hub Managers, and field offices to support effective SNAP administration and implementation.
Provides guidance to ensure SNAP policies, procedures, and federal regulations are accurately applied to eligibility determinations and benefit allotments.
Promotes consistent training methods, instructional tools, business processes, forms, work practices, and professional standards across the state.
Monitors case accuracy and identifies performance deficiencies, error trends, and potential program integrity issues requiring corrective action.
Prepares cycle summaries, exit summaries, and other reports to communicate training, quality assurance, and program performance findings to leadership.
Recommends and implements targeted corrective actions to improve employee performance, reduce errors and improper benefit allotments, and promote accurate, timely, and consistent SNAP services.
