About The Position

The eCommerce Live Sales & Auction Specialist is responsible for planning, producing, presenting, and executing live online auction and sales events across multiple digital platforms. This role combines on-camera hosting with merchandising, live event production, customer engagement, and order fulfillment support. This individual plays a key role in driving revenue through live commerce by curating products, managing event flow, engaging audiences in real time, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of all sales. The Specialist works closely with the eCommerce team to support overall sales strategy, optimize performance, and deliver a positive and engaging online shopping experience.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Confident, engaging, and comfortable on camera
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced live sales environment
  • Strong attention to detail in product handling and order fulfillment
  • Ability to multitask while managing live interaction, product presentation, and sales flow
  • Basic computer and technology skills, including streaming and eCommerce tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales, retail, live streaming, hosting, or eCommerce preferred
  • Familiarity with online marketplaces and live selling platforms preferred
  • On-camera or public speaking experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to social service or faith-based organizations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Host live auction and sales events for extended periods (2–4 hours per session), maintaining high energy, professionalism, and audience engagement
  • Present and describe merchandise accurately, including condition, brand, features, and value
  • Interact with live audiences through chat and platform tools, responding to questions and encouraging participation in real time
  • Create an engaging and entertaining environment that drives competitive bidding and sales performance
  • Adjust pacing, presentation style, and product flow based on live performance and audience behavior
  • Select and curate merchandise for live events based on demand, category performance, and sales strategy
  • Prepare items for live presentation, including organizing sequence, staging products, and ensuring readiness prior to events
  • Collaborate with eCommerce team members to confirm pricing, starting bids, and listing accuracy
  • Support inventory organization and tracking for items designated for live sale events
  • Operate and manage live selling platforms, streaming tools, and related technology during broadcasts
  • Ensure smooth execution of live events, including setup, testing, and troubleshooting basic technical issues
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and visually appealing on-camera presentation environment
  • Pick, pack, and ship items sold during live events with accuracy and care, including fragile items
  • Generate and apply shipping labels and coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers
  • Perform post-event reconciliation to ensure all items are accounted for and processed correctly
  • Maintain organized records of sold items and completed orders
  • Support additional eCommerce operations as needed, including product handling, staging, and warehouse coordination
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Meet or exceed sales, productivity, and fulfillment performance expectations
  • Adhere to all Salvation Army policies and procedures
  • Support the mission and values of The Salvation Army through daily work
  • Maintain professionalism in both on-camera and off-camera interactions
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead eCommerce Hub Supervisor
