About The Position

This role is responsible for various aspects of the eCommerce fulfillment process, including selecting, preparing, packing, and sorting customer orders. The incumbent will manage warehouse inventory, prepare orders for courier pick-up, perform quality assurance checks, and handle invoicing for completed online orders. The position also involves using a pallet jack for moving products, placing special orders, identifying unmarked products using inventory functions, and stocking merchandise. Additionally, the role requires assisting with warehouse maintenance, troubleshooting computer problems, filling out RTV forms, and adhering to all established policies and procedures, including safety rules and operating instructions.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets.
  • 1+ years of shipping, receiving, and inventory control experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
  • Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret bar graphs from material presented.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs.
  • Must be able to work around pet hair and dander.

Responsibilities

  • Select, prepare, pack, and sort customer orders for shipment or pick-up.
  • Manages warehouse inventory.
  • Prepares orders for courier pick-up.
  • Quality assurance checks on products.
  • Invoicing completed online orders.
  • Uses a pallet jack to move pallets of product around the warehouse.
  • Place special orders through regular store process or notify E-commerce Fulfillment Supervisor on out-of-stock products that need to be ordered.
  • Use the inventory function to identify unmarked product, on hand quantities, min/max levels, and discontinued dates.
  • Utilize and consistently increase product knowledge to satisfactorily answer customer questions.
  • Assists in meeting warehouse maintenance guidelines including, cleanliness and expired product audits.
  • Stock merchandise once product has been checked in properly.
  • Identify and troubleshoot computer problems. Call the IT Manager when necessary.
  • Fill out RTV (Return to Voucher) forms as needed.
  • Enforce and follow all established policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding with the ability to reference them from appropriate manuals. (Ex: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and the team member handbook etc.).
