About The Position

The ECOM Front-end ReactJS Developer works in the Technology Consultant 1 job role within Infosys Digital Experience. The role supports the design and development of modern, responsive web and mobile front-end user interfaces and the creation and maintenance of digital platforms, technical roadmaps, and enterprise standards. The developer works with UX designers, UI engineers, and IT leadership to create building blocks for web and hybrid applications, following an AI-led approach. The position contributes across the software development lifecycle, including gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements, participating in design discussions, developing and documenting code, testing and reporting defects, integrating features, and monitoring and troubleshooting live applications. It calls for an agile mindset, strong communication and problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to production issues, and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Retail ecommerce domain experience is identified as a must-have. Relocation and/or travel to the work or project location may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of each year of education.
Experience in front-end design and implementation.
Strong knowledge of ReactJS, Next, micro-frontend applications and architecture, Node.js, JavaScript, DOM manipulation, the JavaScript object model, object-oriented programming and patterns, CSS, SCSS, HTML5, Redux, Context API, React Hooks API, GraphQL, and Apollo Client.
Expertise in AI-led development using Copilot or similar AI accelerators and tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with hands-on technology development experience.
Strong awareness of quality standards and non-functional requirements.
Experience in the retail ecommerce domain.
Excellent interpersonal communication and group presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Java-based Spring Boot microservices development and integrations.
Knowledge of cross-platform React Native mobile app implementations.
Experience in Azure Cloud, DevOps, pipelines, and deployments.

Responsibilities

Assist with targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs and accurately document stakeholder requirements.
Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications and help create process documentation.
Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications according to detailed design specifications and user requirements.
Execute test plans, analyze outcomes, and report defects to the development team to support software performance improvements.
Support integration of new software features into existing system infrastructure.
Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, resolve issues promptly, and document system maintenance.
Document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions for the team's knowledge repository.
Drive design and development of modern responsive web and mobile front-end user interfaces.
Create and maintain digital platforms, technical roadmaps, and enterprise standards in collaboration with UX designers, UI engineers, and IT leadership.
Build efficient and reusable front-end systems, frameworks, and abstractions.
Debug and address React JS user-interface performance issues.
Perform code reviews and quality checks.
Identify and communicate front-end best practices.
Contribute to architectural and design leadership across projects.
Take a proactive approach to monitoring and resolving production issues and participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
