The ECMO Program Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for the development, implementation, and operationalization of the ECMO Program and other MCS programs in close coordination with the ECMO medical director and ECMO/MCS team. This role involves monitoring, evaluating, and initiating performance improvement processes to ensure program success. The coordinator will track and report metrics to the ECLS team and the ELSO ECMO registry, and will be responsible for maintaining compliance with training requirements for all ECLS staff by developing and coordinating necessary training and competence evaluations. The position also involves program development for the ECMO program and assistance with other MCS programs. The candidate will participate in a 24/7 call rotation with other ECMO coordinators, providing clinical leadership and expertise in program implementation and management, using evidence-based standards and resources to promote conservation and appropriate use of ECLS interventions at UAMS.
