Requirements

• Applicants should have post high school training and/or education and be a graduate of an approved Echocardiography program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
• Must be registered within two (2) years’ of start date.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of patients served in Diagnostic Imaging.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Echocardiography, Stress echo, and Transesophageal technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs or is willing to learn all procedures associated with cardiac sonography i.e. Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo.
• Performs all paperwork associated with the Diagnostic Imaging department.
• Follows all radiology policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population served in Diagnostic Imaging.
